4 Best Pinterest Marketing Tools
Canva
If you don’t already know about Canva, it is one of the best places to create pin graphics. You can also design pin templates that match your branding. There are so many pre-designed templates that you can edit and redesign to make your own.
You can edit the template to be just right for your content and use your branding styles with fonts and colors. There are endless ways that you can edit the graphic, with all of the elements that are provided from Canva.
If you are just getting started you can try Canva’s free plan which you can still create pins, you will just be limited on the elements and templates that you are able to use. The paid pro plan gives access to over 600K templates among many other features that are great for any creator, even beyond using it for Pinterest.
2.Tailwind
Tailwind is the tool that allows you to easily automate your pins in advance. And do not worry about this affecting the Pinterest algorithm like some of the Instagram schedulers do, because Tailwind has partnered with Pinterest.
The free plan allows you to schedule up to 20 pins a month, which is great for those that do not have much content and just want to try it out. There are 3 different paid plans. If you have a lot of content, I highly recommend choosing one of the middle plans, the pro account allows you to schedule up to 100 pins/month and the advanced is up to 1000 pins/month.
3.Pinterest Analytics
Pinterest has built in analytic metrics that can be quite helpful to understand how well your account is performing, among other things. Audience Insights details what categories your audience is most interested in, as well as their demographics. And you can then compare your audience insights to overall Pinterest audience insights.
You can also see which boards and pins are getting the most impressions, clicks, engagement etc. Pinterest also has a section with analytics on what is currently trending with the overall Pinterest audience.
4.Google Analytics
Pinterest analytics are great, however to get even more detailed metrics Google Analytics has the ability to see if your Pinterest marketing is actually converting. If you are using more than one marketing strategy, you can then compare them with each other and see if Pinterest, Facebook, or Instagram is driving you the most traffic.
Also you are able to see exactly how much traffic each article or blog post is getting. Yes, Pinterest tells you which pins have the most outbound clicks, but it doesn’t tell how long they stayed on that post or if they visited other parts of your website after reading that article. Google does have that ability, among many other capabilities.
These are the 4 tools that I find most helpful for Pinterest marketing. There are others but these will give you a kickstart. If you still unsure of how to get started with Pinterest marketing contact me for a strategy call and we can figure out what direction you should take.
